Lincoln's career has taken him through the ranks of production, starting in the film business as a 16mm. edge-coding technician while attending Boston’s Emerson College. Having earned a BFA in Mass Communications (specialization in film & minor in creative writing) he worked as production manager/associate producer for Newbury Filmworks filming regional commercials, documentaries, and corporate profiles for tech leaders such as Digital Equipment Corp., Lotus, Wang, General Electric, and Raytheon. In addition to his duties as production manager his employer required he master all aspects of production : camera, sound, lighting & grip. After five years in this staff position, Lincoln entered the freelance market as a focus puller and capped the year on the feature film "Banya" shot in rural Russia during Gorbachev’s "Summer of Glasnost" in 1990, a project which truly tested the mettle of all crew members. Upon his return to the United States he moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in the camera department, working as a first assistant cameraman before moving on to camera operator and then 2nd unit director/DP. His credits include commercials, music videos, and feature films like Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers "Turbo", the Pauley Shore comedy "Biodome", “Sprung”, and "Albino Alligator". In 2003 to counter the effects of runaway production he made a lateral move into location sound mixing and recording, working on reality-based television shows such as "Ice Road Truckers", "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition", and "Biggest Loser". He especially enjoyed traveling the world (15 countries) for shows like "Ice Road Truckers: World's Deadliest Roads" and "The Surfer's Guide To Costa Rica”. From 2008-2012 Lincoln directed, shot, lit, and mixed sound for over 300 interviews with the giants of the comic book industry including iconic comic creator Stan Lee, “Spawn”’s Todd McFarlane, DC Comics' Jim Lee and Dan DiDio, "Walking Dead"'s Robert Kirkman, and numerous special guests including William Shatner, Samuel L. Jackson, and Adam West for Comic Book Resources, a leading website of the genre before its sale. Further opportunities kept him busy in Los Angeles until 2022 when he returned to the Boston area to be near family. He continues to work as a sound mixer/recordist for a wide variety of clients.
